The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, typically leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the issue of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
